Yes, it finally seems like winter outside. It has to get cold before it can warm up again, I suppose, so I very much appreciate the long spells of warm weather that has led up to this first "real" snow of the year.
The numbers have been down here at FM2012, so it must be time for some fresh material. You constant readers are so voraciously hungry for entertainment, so I know you will readily and ravenously devour the next couple of paragraphs.
I (Adam Honnold) have started a Masters program, MBA (Business Administration) in Health Care, so a lot of my down time, my "online time" so to speak, gets sucked up before I get a chance to dawdle around on my blog or on Facebook. I don't particularly want to be back in school, I don't agree with the system (that knowledge is locked up by those with money and power), and we the common folk, wanting to rise up from our current impoverishment, must somehow pay for/go into debt for a piece of paper that doesn't even necessarily guarantee job placement.
But we are players of the game, LIFE being the game, and the rules were made up long before we had a chance to bitch about them. And try as I have to change the rules and become an overnight blogging sensation ( I have not, btw), I must now come to terms with the fact that my life is going nowhere until I have a graduate degree.
Perhaps I listened to much to the Dropout by Kanye West. I mean, just look at all the people making big money who never finished college. From Kanye to Jay Z to the Game, all the way to Bill Gates and the late great Paul Allen. None of these millionaire/billionaires had to play by the rules. Great ideas sometimes meet up with perfect circumstance and timing. But these are flashes in the pan.
I am not as smart as I would like to think I am, fyi, and so it is back to school for me. My only consolation, that someday in the distant future I will be certified to work at a job I have little or no interest in, but I will be able to move out of my mom and dad's basement and maybe take care of a family that doesn't appreciate my hard work.
So, now that you have new material, go ahead, tell your friends. And have your friends tell their friends. And maybe, just maybe, have their friends tell somebody who gives a rats tookus. I love you silly bastards- ACH
